The Challenge

Chili Technology had a breakthrough product - a water-cooled mattress pad that regulated sleep temperature - but lacked the commercial infrastructure to scale from a niche invention into a mainstream consumer brand.

The Approach

Todd and Tara built the entire commercial engine from the ground up: DTC e-commerce, retail channel development (Walmart, Lowe's, Bed Bath & Beyond), Amazon strategy, brand positioning, operations, and the leadership team. Tara's patent portfolio created a defensible moat that made the company highly attractive to acquirers.

The Result

Chili Technology grew 20× under T2's leadership, was named to the Inc. 5000 seven times, and was acquired by KKR in a transaction that valued the brand at $150M. The company was subsequently rebranded as Sleepme.
